Cox’s Orange Pippin
Originated from the seedling of Ribston Pippin. Regarded as the finest of all English Apples. Attractive, richly flavoured dessert Apple. Firm, fine-textured, juicy, a little sweet, and slightly acid, with rich, aromatic, nutty flavour.

Crispin
Raised from Golden delicious and Indo. Firm, fine textured, juicy, a little sweet, somewhat acid, and refreshing, with moderate flavour.

Discovery
Potentially originated from Worcester Pearmain possibly crossed with Beauty of Bath. Attractive, well rounded second early dessert apple. Firm fine-textured, juicy, fairly sweet pleasant flavour.
One of the first apples of our season, fantastic apple off the tree but not for keeping.

Egremont Russet
Origin lost but most probably England. Good quality Mid Season Apple. Firm fine-textured, and rather dry, with rich nutty flavour.
An excellent Apple for the cheese board.

Gala
Raised in New Zealand from Kidds Orange Red and Golden Delicious. Firm, crisp, fine textured, juicy and fairly sweet, interesting hint of pear juice, with good aromatic flavour.
A very popular apple with children.

Golden Delicious
Possibly originated from the seed of Grimes Golden open-pollinated. One of the most widely planted apples in the world. Crisp, fine textured, juicy, sweet and a little acid, with good to very good aromatic flavour. Refreshing.
Why buy French when you can buy English!

Idared
Raised from Jonathon and Wagener. Late Dessert Apple. Firm, crisp, fine textured, juicy and sweet with pleasant vinous flavour.
An excellent apple for keeping, will keep up to 6 weeks.

Jonagold
Raised from Golden Delicious and Jonathon. Late season dessert apple. Fine textured, juicy and sweet and with good rich flavour.
A very popular apple in our shop.

Jonathan
Originated from a seedling of Esopus Spitzenberg open pollinated in 1826. Well known dessert apple. Soft, fine textured, fairly juicy and sweet with faint pleasant flavour.

Jupiter
Raised from Cox’s Orange Pippin and Starking in 1966, making this a fairly recent dessert apple. A late season apple. Juicy and sweet with a full aromatic flavour.
We are the only commercial grower of Jupiter in Worcestershire. A great alternative for those who like Cox’s Orange Pippin.

Kidd’s Orange
Raised from Cox’s Orange Pippin and Delicious in 1932. A mid to late high quality dessert apple. Firm, Crisp, juicy, and sweet with rich aromatic flavour with a hint of orange.
If only we could grow more!

Lord Lambourne
Raised from James Grieve and Worcester Pearmain in 1907. High quality dessert apple. A little coarse textured, juicy and sweet, with good aromatic flavour.
Unbeatable in its season especially when Cox’s is a little tart.

Red Pippin
Formally known as Fiesta. Selected from a cross between Cox’s Orange Pippin and Idared. Rich vinuous flavour and is quite sweet with a nice tang, making it refreshing.
A 1st prize apple for us.

Spartan
Raised from McIntosh and Yellow Newtown Pippin in 1926. Dessert apple. Firm crisp, fine textured, and juicy, with refreshing vinous flavour. Very aromatic even before fruit cut. Dark crimson fruit.
Colin’s great grandfather was one of the first to grow this variety in the UK.

Worcester Pearmain
Raised by Mr Hale of Swan Pool, near Worcester, England. Possibly seedling from from Devonshire Quarrenden. Smith of Worcester introduced this apple in 1874. Firm, a little Juicy and sweet with pleasant flavour.
We are the largest producers of this variety in Worcester.
